The TBA FIREFLY® Ablative Coating (White – 5L Tub) is a fire-rated, water-based polymer coating designed for use with the Fire Protection range, including FireFly Fire Barriers & Curtains and FireFly Fire Barrier Ancillaries. This brush-grade liquid is used to reseal cuts, cracks, or minor surface damage on FireFly FB180 Ablative Batts, ensuring the fire integrity of the system is maintained.

What is FIREFLY® Ablative Coating used for?
FIREFLY® Ablative Coating is applied to edges, cuts, and surface damage on FireFly FB180 Ablative Batts to reseal them and restore their fire performance rating.
Is the Ablative Coating tested to fire resistance standards?
Yes. It has been tested to BS EN 1364 and BS EN 1366 fire resistance standards, ensuring reliable fire protection when used correctly.
Can FIREFLY® Ablative Coating be used on flexible barriers?
No. This product is not suitable for flexible fire barriers or for use with cPVC pipes. It is specifically designed for use with FireFly FB180 Batts.
How is the Ablative Coating applied?
The coating is brush applied directly from the 5L tub to any cut edges or minor surface damage. It is quick drying, paintable, and easy to clean with water.
