Zentia Administration: What It Means For Customers
Zentia Limited Enters Administration: Our Thoughts And What It Means For Customers
The UK suspended ceiling industry received very difficult news this week with the announcement that Zentia Limited and Zentia Profiles Limited have entered administration.
Like many across the construction products and suspended ceiling supply chain, we were saddened to hear the news. Zentia has been a major name in UK ceiling tiles, suspension grids and acoustic ceiling systems for many years, with a long history in the North East.
Most importantly, our thoughts are with the employees, their families and everyone directly affected by the administration process.
From everyone at Judge Ceilings: we would like to thank the people at Zentia who have supported customers, suppliers and the wider ceiling industry over the years. Behind every announcement like this are skilled people, families and colleagues facing uncertainty, and they deserve recognition for their contribution.
What Has Happened?
Interpath confirmed that Will Wright and James Lumb were appointed joint administrators to Zentia Limited and Zentia Profiles Limited on 8 June 2026.
According to Interpath, the companies had faced challenging trading conditions, including high energy prices affecting production costs and sales lower than forecast. The statement also confirmed that production at Zentia’s two Gateshead sites has ceased and that the majority of the workforce has been made redundant.

Our Thoughts Are With The Zentia Team
Zentia products have been used across offices, schools, hospitals, retail spaces, public sector buildings and commercial refurbishment projects throughout the UK.
Over the years, many people helped build and support that reputation: factory teams, technical staff, customer service teams, sales teams, logistics staff, product specialists and everyone working behind the scenes.
We know this news will be extremely difficult for the people affected. From all of us at Judge Ceilings, we wish the former Zentia employees and their families the very best for the future.
What Does This Mean For Zentia Ceiling Tile Customers?
Many customers will now have understandable questions about Zentia ceiling tile availability, Zentia grid systems, replacement ceiling tiles and future maintenance stock.
At the time of writing, the administration process is ongoing. The administrators have stated that they will seek a sale of the companies’ business and assets, including residual stock.
For facilities managers, contractors and building owners maintaining existing Zentia ceilings, we recommend identifying any upcoming ceiling tile, grid or replacement requirements as early as possible.

For now, our thoughts remain with the Zentia employees, their families, suppliers, customers and everyone impacted by this difficult news.
