Acoustic Insulation Pads

Acoustic Insulation Pads (Polypads)

Space is noise’s best friend. Without anything to obstruct it, sound waves bounce around cavities in walls and above suspended ceilings. If you’re frustrated by noise travelling between rooms, the ceiling void is usually the cause — but your ceiling can help fix it.

Acoustic insulation pads (also known as acoustic polypads) are designed to sit above ceiling tiles and reduce sound transmission between spaces, improving comfort in both residential and commercial environments.

How Acoustic Pads Work

The mineral fibre inside acoustic suspended ceiling insulation pads absorbs sound energy, helping reduce:

• Echo and reverberation within a room
• Noise transfer between floors and adjacent spaces

Each pad is sealed in polythene, meaning no loose fibres and no mess. Simply install them above your ceiling tiles within a standard suspended ceiling grid system.

Common Applications

• Offices – reduce noise in open-plan environments
• Schools & Education – improve learning environments
