Rockfon Artic+ A24 600mm x 600mm ceiling tiles combine a smooth white painted fleece finish with Class A sound absorption for offices, shops, schools and other commercial interiors. Manufactured from lightweight stone wool, this new version of the Artic range provides improved published acoustic performance and allows occasional damp-cloth cleaning alongside vacuuming.

The A24 square edge creates a straightforward lay-in ceiling finish using the specified 24mm exposed grid system. Each box contains 32 tiles, covering 11.52m² of nominal ceiling area before allowances for cuts and wastage. Pair the tiles with an appropriate Rockfon CMC ceiling grid and follow the relevant installation guidance.

Module size describes the ceiling grid layout, not the tile's exact manufactured dimensions. Published acoustic figures apply to 15mm tiles at a suspension depth of 200mm including the tile. Performance in a room depends on the complete ceiling design and room conditions.

Improved Sound Absorption for Busy Interiors

Artic+ provides αw 0.95 Class A sound absorption, compared with the original Artic's published αw of 0.90. Its NRC also increases from 0.85 to 0.95 under the stated test configuration.

These sound-absorbing ceiling tiles can help control reflected sound and reverberation as part of a suitable acoustic design. They are a practical option for workspaces, classrooms, reception areas and retail interiors. Sound absorption should not be confused with soundproofing between neighbouring rooms.

Square Edge Finish for T24 Ceiling Grid

The A24 edge is a square lay-in detail for a visible grid arrangement. Rockfon lists Rockfon System T24 A and, for the 600mm x 600mm format, Rockfon System XL T24 A as recommended installation systems.

When replacing existing tiles, confirm the module size, tile thickness, edge detail and grid system. If your ceiling has a 15mm grid, check the appropriate Artic+ A15 option or obtain confirmation of compatibility before ordering this A24 version.

Replacing Original Rockfon Artic Tiles

Artic+ is the successor to the original Artic range, but the manufacturer describes its face as smooth white painted fleece, whereas the original was described as nuanced white painted fleece. Ageing, lighting and batch variation can also affect how replacement tiles look beside an existing ceiling.

For isolated repairs, compare a sample where possible and confirm the exact tile required. For a complete room or new installation, using one version throughout the continuous area helps create a consistent appearance.

Humidity Resistance and Cleaning

Rockfon Artic+ is rated for up to 100% relative humidity, with no visible deflection in high humidity stated in the datasheet. This describes resistance to humid air; it does not mean the tile is waterproof.

The listed cleaning methods are vacuuming and occasional damp-cloth cleaning. Follow Rockfon's cleaning instructions and check any project requirements for hygiene, chemicals or frequent cleaning.

Fire Performance

Artic+ has an A1 reaction-to-fire classification. This is separate from a complete ceiling assembly providing a specified period of fire resistance.

If your project requires a fire-protecting ceiling, confirm that the exact Artic+ tile, grid, suspension and construction details are covered by the relevant manufacturer evidence. Do not assume that replacing original Artic with Artic+ automatically preserves an existing fire-resistance rating.
